For a Clearer, Happier You
About Me
I bring a warm, empathic, and respectful approach to my role as a therapist, underpinned by a deep commitment to delivering a professional service. I recognize the courage it takes to seek help and understand the challenges and overwhelming emotions you may be facing. Whether you're grappling with anxiety, distress, or a sense of being stuck, counseling can serve as a valuable support.
As a highly qualified and experienced Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I stand ready to assist you on your journey toward well-being. Therapy, for me, is a dedicated space where you can feel safe, supported, and bring forth any issues you'd like to explore at a pace that suits you. Your time in therapy is deserving of an environment where you feel valued, fully heard, and supported.
I am committed to journeying with you towards better health, facilitating a sense of peace amidst your struggles, and helping you attain greater life fulfillment and clarity. Your well-being is at the forefront of our work together, and I am here to support you on your unique path to healing.
What That Means
Humanistic Therapy is an approach that centers around valuing individuals as complete beings, emphasizing personal growth, and fostering autonomy. This therapeutic modality views each person as inherently good, with the potential for positive self-development. The humanistic perspective, often associated with theorists like Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow, focuses on the present and future, encouraging individuals to explore their feelings and experiences.
Integrative Therapy, on the other hand, is characterized by the incorporation of various therapeutic approaches into the counselling process. This method recognizes that no single therapeutic approach fits every individual or issue. Integrative therapists draw from different models, such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and systemic approaches, crafting a personalized treatment plan based on the client's unique needs.
By combining Humanistic and Integrative approaches, a therapist seeks to create a therapeutic environment that values the individual, supports personal growth, and utilizes a flexible, tailored approach to address a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. The focus is on understanding and empowering the client in their journey toward holistic well-being.
Clients I work with
I collaborate with individuals facing a broad spectrum of challenges, including but not limited to work-related stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, panic, trauma, bereavement, family issues, relationship challenges, confidence, assertiveness, and health concerns. These issues can have a significant emotional impact on daily life, and my therapeutic approach is designed to address the unique circumstances and needs of each client, creating a supportive space for exploration and healing.
Getting Started
I provide a complimentary 20-minute telephone call to assess how comfortable you are with the idea of working together. During this call, we can mutually determine if I am the right fit for your needs. My therapeutic services are available through various mediums, including Telephone, Zoom, WhatsApp, or Face-to-Face sessions at my office located in Edwinstowe, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
I strongly believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone, and as such, I offer a quality service at an affordable price.
